One of India's greatest monuments

The Kailash is an ancient Hindu temple located in the Ellora Caves, Maharashtra. It was built by King Krishna I in AD 760, and it is well known for its unique rock construction. The whole temple was built out of a single piece of stone and it took more than two decades to carve. Kailasa Temple is three stories high, and spans about 150 feet deep. The entry fee is Rs. 50-6

How to get there:

From Mumbai, you can easily reach Kailasa Temple by train (15$ fee for a 7 hour commute) or by bus (30$ free for an 11 hour commute). If you are travelling from Delhi, we recommend to flying to Aurangabad and then to take a taxi to Kailasa Temple.
